The head’s strong, single-ply Mylar® foil, with an additional 5mil dot in the centre, produces a focused tone with pronounced mid-frequency components and a clearly defined attack.
While the outer areas of the heads offer more sensitivity and tone, the centre dot brings a significant increase in stability and overtone control.
The Controlled Sound®-X head is similar in all respects to the original Controlled Sound®, but 20% stronger. As a result, it offers more attack, wider mids and increased stability.
REMO® Controlled Sound® heads are ideal for medium to loud playing styles, both live and in the studio. They fit especially well with music styles such as pop, funk, rock and heavy rock.
This model is available in sizes 10″ – 14″ and is ideal for snare drums.
